1 7-Day Return Guarantee
We offer a 7-day return policy for damaged, defective, or torn books. However, to ensure fairness and prevent misuse, we have specific requirements that must be met for returns.
Important: We do NOT accept returns for books simply because you didn't like the content or changed your mind. Returns are accepted ONLY for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.
2 Package Inspection at Delivery
Before accepting delivery, you must inspect the package:
- Check if the outer packaging is torn, crushed, wet, or damaged
- Look for any signs of tampering or rough handling
- Verify that the package appears intact and properly sealed
If the package is damaged, torn, or appears tampered with:
- Do not accept the delivery
- Refuse the package and ask the delivery person to return it
- Take photos/videos of the damaged package with the delivery person present
- Contact us immediately at [email protected] with the photos
Warning: TheBooksCart will NOT be liable for any damage claims if you accept a visibly damaged package from the delivery person. Once you accept delivery of a damaged package, you take responsibility for its condition.
3 Video Proof Requirement
To be eligible for a return, you must provide an uncut, continuous video recording of the complete unboxing process. This is mandatory and non-negotiable.
Your video must clearly show:
- The sealed/unopened package before opening
- The complete unboxing process without any cuts or breaks
- All sides of the book showing any damage, torn pages, or defects
- The invoice/order slip that came with the package
- Clear visibility of the product condition from all angles
Video Requirements: Must be recorded in good lighting with clear visibility. Should be continuous without any cuts, edits, or pauses. Should clearly show the damage/defect. Must be shared via Gmail, WhatsApp, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar file-sharing service.
4 Eligible & Non-Eligible Returns
To ensure a smooth return process, please check if your item qualifies for return:
Eligible for Return
- Books that are torn or have damaged pages
- Books with printing defects or manufacturing errors
- Books that are defective or missing pages
- Wrong book delivered (different from what you ordered)
Not Eligible
- Books without proper video proof of unboxing
- Books returned because you didn't like the content or changed your mind
- Books with obvious signs of use or reading
- Books damaged after delivery by the customer
- Books with water damage, stains, or marks made after delivery
- Any item returned more than 7 days after delivery
- Items where customer accepted a visibly damaged package
- Book cover design differs from website image
- Binding type (Paperback/Hardcover) complaint when clearly mentioned in product title
To be eligible for a return, your item must: Have valid video proof of unboxing as described above, be in the same condition as received, be in the original packaging with all accessories and invoice, and be reported within 7 days of delivery.
5 How to Return

Share your order number, description of the issue, and video link for review.
Await Review
Our team will review your video within 24-48 hours and respond with the decision.
Ship the Item Back
If approved, we'll provide return shipping instructions. Ship the item back in original packaging.
6 Replacement for Damaged/Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item and meet all the return requirements:
We've Got You Covered! We'll send a replacement at no extra cost or provide a full refund, including shipping charges.
- Same Book Replacement: If your book arrived damaged or defective, we'll send you a brand new copy at no extra cost.
- Processing Time: Replacements are typically shipped within 2-3 business days after we receive and verify the returned item.
